We are so excited to share this #RecyclingWin from one of our food manufacturing clients! Like any busy food processing facility, they deal with a lot of food waste.
Prior to working with The Recy Group, 100% of this facility’s food waste was going to the landfill. They were actually the local landfill’s BIGGEST customer!
We developed a comprehensive waste plan which included over 100 truckloads of recycling in the first 6 weeks. After 6 months, our client has recycled over 5 million pounds of food waste with zero food waste going to the landfill!
Like most manufacturing facilities, there are several other waste streams from the facility. The Recy Group now coordinates all of them including several types of cardboard, plastic, steel, and aluminum.
Not only have we redirected from landfill to recycling, but we are also helping our client earn a nice rebate!
